Surprise! An update on the ASP engine...

Havent posted here for a while, heres an update for you on the ASP engine (I'm afraid you won't like it though).
Firstly the reason you havent seen any updates on the ASP engine are A. Because as I initially said, I don't want to start a huge fanbase for it or anything like that especially at SD.net itself and B. My internet access at university became somewhat limited, basically because my halls didn't inform me how much internet calls were costing so I had to swallow a several hundred £ phone bill shortly after all the ASP threads, which meant the only times I really used the internet after that was every few days in the university computer labs themselves, which would have made holding a discussion near impossible (hence why I also stopped posting here on other topics).
However now I'm living in a flat with my girlfriend and we've had a phat 1mb/s connection installed, so I can actually use the net properly again, which is why your getting this update.
Although I'm afraid the update isn't that good, the engines coder for the project has been going at a pace where I doubt he'll ever have anything even remotely resembling a game we can work on, and hes just discovered he's going to have to rewrite a significant portion of the code too (something to do with DX9 I think). The engine is basically at very nearly the same state as it was when I last posted (he's added quite a few basic physics things to it but thats it). Also he has become remarkably difficult to get in contact with lately, so I'm not even sure about what he's working on now.
So after some thought I've decided to leave the project for now, but if he ever does finish the engine I'll make a decision about whether or not the whole project is still viable and then maybe start it up again. So basically, I apologise for getting you all excited over whats probably going to turn out to be nothing (at least in the near future anyway).
