No, sounds weird. I usually grab a jeep and look for the nearest Spitfire or P-51. Bomber pilots are typically stupid and I don't want to die because of them.

I avoid planes like the plague. Give me a tank or jeep any day!

I rode on top of the wing. I fell off somewhere near the Nazi base. Then they shot me.

Back when I still did the Clan thing, it was regular pratice to load up b-17 with 10-20 people and airdrop em over the enemy main base while the b-17 ran off and capped the other points

Bah, Spitfires are too much fun. I only use tanks to spawn camp in the enemy uncapturable base.

How does one stay on the B-17? I always fall off planes after they get going.

That sounds so smacktardish, walk to the plane and leave the jeeps to those of us who actually want to get to the flags, damn it!

The worse kind are those who take the tanks and sit in the airfield waithing for a plane to respawn.

Agreed. The airfield is sitting right fucking there, do you have to waste good equipment to get there 3 seconds faster? Goddamn. Walk you lazy asses.

PS. Learn to fly. Like, everyone. I am in desperate need of challenging enemy pilots.

I know im a challenging tank driver, but i don't like flying planes much, i do like having non smacktard pilots on my team, though, but they are hard to find, specially those who don't just go around playing 1337 10n3w0lf pi107 and don't really help the land units much.

Know what you mean. I'm pretty good in a tank too, but I prefer fighters or a good B17. To date, I have only seen one other person who can fly a B17 competently. I was flakking away as usual, literally slaughtering enemy fighters which I'm pretty sure were piloted by lemmings, when I barely make out a B17 at high altitude. I go "oh shit" and start flakking it... unfortunately it was at this point the bombs hit and I exploded. I commended the pilot on being able to BOMB with a BOMBER. I am sick of people flying B17s nap-of-the-earth and pulling 70-degree banks at said altitude.

Bombing with a bomber, heh whats that?

I love playing tailgunner, just being along for the ride with a good chance of shooting stuff is normaly my cup of tea, though finding a pilot who's not using the plane as a get out of fighting to get to flag real flast card is rare, Twice in six months have I been a b-17 that surived a single bombing run

However when Mustangs spawn, I loose any sort of precious sense I have, I love Mustangs, I love to fly them, and I go to get lengths to keep flying them

I perfer desert combat. But in BF1942 I am a good fighter pilot. Not the best but good. I actually have a freind who can as JediNeophyte said bomb with a bomber. After the bombs are gone we just fly around doing anti-fighter patrols. Finally after all ammo is gone we do a high altitude bail out which is basiclly a HALO jump. In desert combat we would take the AC 130 over the iraqi base at El alemein and do a HALO and steal the jets and their Hind gunship.

How's about you and me do the Bocage "Over the River and Under the Bridge" Waltz? Only two things to keep in mind: The BF109's mine, and I'm leadin' this dance.

Call me boring, but i just like being a leg too much to ever touch a vehicle. I've been airbonrne one and thought it was very cool. What I reeeeeeeeally hate is the bastards who run the team fleet aground. One game, there was a carrier, a BB, and a DD all on the fucking shore. The guy who did it thought it was the most hilarious thing he'd ever seen. Oh well... *waits for Battlefield: Vietnam to come out*

See: http://www.battlefield1942files.com -- "Eve Of Destruction". Too lazy and short on time right now to get the full link, but it's under Mods/Total Conversions. No bot support yet, but there are servers out there running it, and it's good.

One last note: I'm composing a music video for BF1942 to be displayed in the window of the Cybercafe I go to on the nights they have BF LAN parties. Just clips taken from various mods as well as the standard game (albeit modified with upgraded textures, etc.) It'll be set to Megadeth's "Crush 'Em" and when it's done, I'll upload a copy to my domain hosting business (yep, I host now, at domainhookupz.com) and you can all have a peek.
