MOD question

Post by Companion Cube »

When people talk about mods on this and other forums, i've often seen them spell it MOD in all caps. Is there any reason for this, or is it just personal preference?

I've asked myself this a few times also. I use MOD by personal preference mainly because I use "mod" to talk about forum moderators.

Some people capatalize it because they don't realize it's an abbreviation for modification and not the first three letters of some unknown thing.

Muwahaha.

But yes, 'MOD' would imply an acronym rather than an abbreviation.
