What the fuck was Cait Sith?
I recall something about it being controlled from someone in shinra, but not specifically what it was...

A robotic fortune telling machine thing, operated by remote by a member of shinra to infiltrate your group.

Cait-Sith was a puppet, riding on a clockwork toy.
The Shinra operative running it, iirc, was the mayor of Midgar.

Cait Sith was controlled by Reeve, Shinra's chief of Urban Development. Kind of odd, to have such a high-level executive doing infiltration work (something that probably should have been delegated to the Turks).
And Tevar, the mayor of Midgar, Domino, didn't do much of anything other than be Shinra's librarian.

I'm pissed off because i got all the way to the end fight with Sephiroph, couldn't get past the second bit of the final fight, stopped playing ... and then learnt i'd missed out on a shit load of stuff like Ruby Weapon, Knights of the Round Summon, Gold Chocobo and a hell of a lot of other stuff! No wonder i couldn't beat him!

Reeves was controlling Cait Sith
Hehehe, Cait is a dark jedi... (Bad joke...I know, but I tend to loose real thought after reading two chapters out of my physics book)

I knew that Reeve was some high-rank having to do with the city. Forgive me, I've not played FF& in a couple years

As already mentioned, Cait Sith seemed to be remotely controlled by Reeve, a high-ranking Shinra official. The original version I believe was created by Dr. Gast as a toy for baby Aeris to play with, although I'll admit I cannot remember where I got this from.
