Trillian problem

For about a day, I have been unable to sign onto ICQ and AIM through Trillian. Well, Trillian thinks I'm signed on, but by all appearances I am still offline. MSN still works fine. I use .74 with patch D.
Any ideas?

My Trillian is working completely. Try a reinstall. If that doesn't work, then the problem is somewhere between you and the AIM and ICQ servers. Might be a downed router or a server upgrade, y'know?

What file is it that stores the list of ICQ contacts in Trillian? I don't want to have to add all of them again.

You shouldn't lose your contacts if you simply reinstall over the old version. If you're worried about that, simply copy the users directory elsewhere.

No joy on the reinstall. I'll try actual AIM and ICQ to see if they can connect.

Often the best litmus test for a connection problem. It's happened to me once.

AIM does not appear to be working. I assume the same thing is up with ICQ.

Sounds like the server with your buddy list and info and stuff is down.

That was my conclusion.

Well, ICQ worked for a day, but now it won't work. Interestingly, I can use the online versions of ICQ, suggesting to me that there is still a glitch between me and the main server (a different route, me->website->server works, but me->server doesn't).
AIM will not work in this respect, but that may be because the only online AIM version I can find is official AIM and therefore probably utilizes the same servers.

Your ISP might be fucking with a port. I've had similar problems trying to connect to SDnet, where others could but I couldn't due to a screwy relay kicking ions.

I'm on a university connection. Go have a chat with IT?
