Has anyone tried Galactic Conquest?

In case you haven't heard of it, it's a mod for Battlefield 1942 that turns it into SW basically.

Last I checked they didn't even have an Alpha out, but now they do. I'm going to download and install it tonight. Was just wondering if anyone else has tried it.

I tried the trial version they distributed....it was bad. Then again, it was just a trial version. Personally, i think DC will always be better. The weapon system is odd in the SW mod.

Don't get me started on Desert Combat. There is nothing more satisfying than loading up 6 guys in a blackhawk, flying over the enemy base, and have everyone bail out while the gunner provides cover.

You just never had that kind of teamplay in vanilla BF1942.
