I assume you know what the login screen for XP is, right? The one where you type in a username and enter a password? (I disabled XP's welcome screen)
How do I change the background on that screen?

You can download a program called Logon Loader to change the layout and background of the login screen.

1. Disable Active desktop
2. Change your background to whatver you want.
3. Enable Active Desktop
4. Set background again.
Actually, with XP it might be "show web content." It's been a while.

If memory serves, you have to boot into safe mode and patch a DLL or two. The patches come with the ChaNinja theme over at themexp.org.
