How do these get into your computer first of all? Ones that follow you around and popup whenever you go to a new page or refresh And where can you go to get rid of them, temporary files perhaps? And how you can prevent them from getting in. I have my security in internet options for IE set accept all cookies (I want the ones like this site, and some others that keep some info about me) but want to prevent things like this, and I also have something that changes my home page without my consent.

There is sucha thing as popunders and delayed popups that come up after you have left a website...
That and that damned messenger service which the spammers recently started using. Turn it off.

Is it AIM? The only thing I get from them is news page that pops up when I sign on, nothing else, unless this is something new.

It's because you use IE for chrissakes. Try looking in the Security sticky, huh? You're probably loaded up with spyware.

It's not AIM. If it was, he would have said it.
