If you wanna go wee, but you ain't got caps yet...you hold on to your life. You hold on to your...Vaygr and Strike.
Vaygr and Strike, Vaygr and Strike, Vaygr and Strike.....
Vaygr and Strike, Vaygr and Strike, Vaygr and Strike.....
Vaygr in the lightning! In the lightning in the rain!
And I went up to this Hiigaran Fleet and I went "Yo Mothershipper WEEEEEEEEEEEE!"
So, as you might be able to tell, I'm greatly enjoying me some MP action.
The fast initial harassment of the Vaygr can be brutally devestating if pulled off correctly. Anyone game?

WARNING:
Apparently some less than savory individuals have discovered a way to bring back the disgusting "Super Scouts" exploit to HW2, this time for Interceptors.
Just wonderful....

It'd be one thing if I got beaten at my own game by someone more skilled than I, that's fine. However, using an exploit to gain the upper hand in combat is just downright rotten.
I've run tests with this, and yes, it does give an unfair advantage to the person using the exploit. 10 Hiigaran Ints vs 14 Vaygr Ints = 5 dead Hiigaran Ints (but still two squads, so end result being no losses) and 14 dead Vaygr Ints.
And that's from an example where the first squad of Hiigaran Ints had to face down both Vaygr squads at the same time for 7-10 seconds before his "backup" arrived.

It's evil playing a game where you're losing slightly in a battle and then you complete a fire control tower

And a group of Command Corvettes.

Fire Control Tower is more effective than puny Command Corvettes. In the later missions in the SP campaign, I had FCT-equipped battlecruisers leading my fleet, greatly increasing their effectiveness. Enemy fighters were no match for my five destroyers as a result
I just played a silly game, though: 5v1 compstomp - and the computer was set to easy. Three humans, three AI. One human guy launched a fighter strike, which I promptly supported by hypering in a CV full of bombers and torpedo frigates paused just short of completion.
A pair of enemy carriers tried running, but I disabled their engines. A few passes later and they were toast, meanwhile my frigates were nicely making holes in the Mothership's armor.
OTOH, in another MP game I played I got badly owned. I had a few frigates out by the time the enemy had a pair of DDs and an escort screen.

Ah, but they do stack, if I'm not mistaken. Making for some very interesting hijinks.

Maximum stack is to +30%, and FCTs also stack - two will get you the maximum boost in the overlap zone.
