Norton Antivirus Problem

Post by InnerBrat »

I've just realised that Auto-Protect is not on, and I can't turn it on.

I don't know how long I've had the problem, but I have relataitvely recently installed Spybot S&D, Startup Monitor and Startup Control Panel.

I've tried uninstalling SM, but it hasn't helped so far.

Ideas? Ta.

Happened to me once.

I took the easy fix and re-installed Norton. It worked fine after that.

OK, will try to reinstall.

I forgot to mention, though, that I have the same problem with the Office Shortcut bar - that doens't work either. I just didn't care that much about that.

Sounds a lot like what I had happen.

A bunch of Startup items decided they didn't want to work anymore. Likewise Norton was the only one I really missed.

Just out of curiosity, Could I ask what version of windows you're running?
I'm on '98SE.

Spybot might have nuked the registry entries.

Oh, bad Spybot.
Let's sort that out then, thanks.

PS reinstalling worked, but the one I was using before was't the same software as the one have the installation disk for.
