More Trillian problems

I don't know whether it's to do with the patches I recently installed, but Trillian keeps crashing on me, and all I get is the standard Windows "Trillian has encountered a problem and need to close error message"
Any body else had this problem or can give me suggestions?

Which version of Trillian do you have, for starters? I had that problem for a while, it fixed itself... with a fresh install.

Sorry - the free on
... 0.78?
I've done the reinstall thing. It started again.

Agh, Today now I get an error message saying something about a location in memory that couldn't be read. Funny thing is I can ignore the message as long as I want but it wont let go of the focus, so I have to push it offscreen...
EDIT: Also, WTF is it about the Yahoo thing that completely crashes Trillian? AIM, ICQ, IRC, and MSN never crashed Trillian on me...

That'll be what's happening to me. Have you downloaded the latest patches?

Yup, and reinstalled, reinstalled, and reinstalled again.
Fuck you Yahoo. 'To get rid of spammers' BULL-FUCKING-SHIT.

Disable automatic-connect with Yahoo, or rename the yahoo.dll file in your Trillian directory to solve the issue.

Rename it to what?
Does this mean I won't be able to use Y! ? (I can happily do without it, just checking)

I renamed mine to yahoo.dl_. That fixed it RFQ.

Anything other than the original name. That way when Trillian goes to look for it, it won't find it.

Yes, it will disable Y!, but Trillian will work.

Yahoo has restricted access to their own IM client as of 24 September. Just change the extension to dll.bak or dl_ or something.

Cerulean Studios appears to be working on a patch.
