Star Frontiers was fun. I always like the Dralasites. Unfortunately, all the books my brother gave me were thrown away the last time my sister cleaned the attic.

Do you need a good place to hide her body?

I've played the D&D version with the books published in the late 70s, but I never managed to find the books for the others. The guy who lives across the street from me has the old 1e books, including the 1981 Fiend Folio (with the all-mighty Floomph).

Does the "advanced" version of Gamma world with the D20 count? You know, now that I think of it, 3rd ed was really just updating D&D to bring it into line with Gamma world, I mean you have the positive ACs and attack bonuses and everything.

Oh, I did "inherit" some of the old D&D books and adventures, but I never got a chance to play them.

I played the Basic, Expert, and a little bit of Companion D&D. I lost my manuals when a neighbors kid borrowed them and they moved out a week later. I had the ones with the dragon on the cover with a wizardress holding a green magic missile. (Basic)

Do a search for some of your old favorites on Ebay, there is a lot of it for sale. I looked up a bunch of Twilight 2000 stuff yesterday.

WotC is offering a lot of the old modules for free download, including the Marco Volo series and some of the old Oriental Adventures stuff (Mad Monkey versus the Dragon Claw).

I still have all the 1e DnD books, and StarFrontiers books. I did pick up one edition of GammaWorld, but never liked it that much

Did anyone have a favorite module?
I liked XL-1 Quest for the Heartstone. X-2 Castle Amber was cool too.

My only modules were the Ghost of Lion Castle and Isle of Dread, and I think they came in the box...

Isle of the Dread was module X-1 and came with the D&D Expert set. That was a good one as well.

I too have fond memories of playing D&D and GMing expeditions to the Isle of Dread. Take that, witch-doctors! Eat fireball Mr Rex!
The less said about Gamma World the better. When 13 year olds with poor social skills dislike a game for being 'idiotic and unrealistic' you know something's wrong.
Star Frontiers was better (than GW). I remember the old 'atomic engines' and vertical floor plans. We all wanted to be slithery, bug eyed Sathar. Our mision, blow shit up, mutilate cattle and steal busty earth-women. The joys of being 14.

Well, yeah, I had the Expert set too. I didn't buy that module separately so it came in the box
But wait... I think I had a module. Kinda crappy tho, it was the Maze of the Riddling Minotaur. Had that stupid pen that reveals invisiclues-like things. The map was completely made with that stuff - of course it means you can only play the game once
The game even had pre-rolled dice, with the invisithing. I remember my brother had transcribed the entire game in a format that made you "go to page X" for hidden stuff, and some other method to hide the maze.

*L* Gamma World was rediculis and unrealistic much like D+D I thought oif it as D+D with sci fi instead of magic they kinda played the same and as for tough humans you need to read the backstory there a reason a little girl could have 8 hit dice though HD had nothing to do with chance to hit

That name rings a bell. I do remember playing a Solo Adventure for theives but it had nothing to do with minotaurs. Hehe, that reminds me of the chose your own adventure books. I recently found on in my garage. I should re-read it for kicks.

Here it is. That velcro thingy is where the super-special revealo pen is attached.
