Leisuresuit larry series

Post by Shrykull »

first game ever I played an a computer (a 286 with no hard drive and 2 5 1/4 inch drives) was leisuresuit larry 1 black and white with no sound card. My aunt helped me answer the questions to see if I was 18. Some of them were time related and a current 18 year old wouldn't be able to answer them, questions like "Where's the ___" Beef in this case. Did you ever play them and someone would help you get into it? Of course the graphics were so bad a kid couldn't really figure it out, when you go up the whore's bedroom you can't make out any private parts.

I vaguely recall watching my dad's friend's son playing it when they weren't home. I was pretty young, and he couldn't have been more than 13 or 14 at the time. Barely remember the series.

I dont remember much of the early ones except a friend at work played them. Was their nudity? I played a later one in the 90's and there was no nudity or real sex, just the suggestion of it.

I remember one of those games as a kid

That and More Mandy

But Leisure Suit Larry is a tongue twister for me
"Right now we can tell you a report was filed by the family of a 12 year old boy yesterday afternoon alleging Mr. Michael Jackson of criminal activity. A search warrant has been filed and that search is currently taking place. Mr. Jackson has not been charged with any crime. We cannot specifically address the content of the police report as it is confidential information at the present time, however, we can confirm that Mr. Jackson forced the boy to listen to the Howard Stern show and watch the movie Private Parts over and over again."

Ah, Leisure Suit Larry in the Land of the Lounge Lizard's, I used to play that game on my dads 8086 as a kid, man I was obsessed with LL back then. That game though me a lot of English.

IIRC pressing Alt+X when the computer asks for your age bypasses the age questions.
