I'm very much inclined to call this "fucking stupid", but I don't know much about the plug-in. Is this one of those things that websites love to try and force on you and IE loves to neglect to say you just downloaded? If so, that company should have no case. All web browsers will download that if the website needs it (well, they will do something, at least tell you it's needed), and it's not the browser manufacturers fault that the website someone is accessing needs that plugin. If the company really wants to stop it being used or whatever, they should complain to the websites, not the browser.
