Hmm, this is the third 'help!' thread i've posted in the last few days...surely that should get me some kind of award for attention whoring!

Anyway, when I start up Halo, I get an error message shortly afterwards that informs me that there's a problem with DirectX, and that I should check DXDIAG. After doing that, with no helpful result (all tests show green) I retry and the game still refuses to run! :?

My specs are as follows:

P4 2.5ghz
512mb RAM
GeForce4 Ti4600 (Drivers are 43:45)

My desktop resolution is 1280x1024, and the screen refresh rate is 85hz.

Maybe your DirectX is too old? Halo supposedly requires version 9.0b.

Try adjusting the anti-aliasing settings in your graphics card properties and stuff. Alot of Halo PC players have had problems with that, myself included.

ACtually it wants 9.1... Son of a bitch thing that it is.

I had been getting the same error, turns out Halo does not like refresh forcing tools, so disable anything that may be forcing a refresh rate, and that should do it.

I use ReForce and have to disable it if i want to play Halo.
