Getting Rid of Game HUDs

Is there any way to get rid of HUDs in games like Vice City and Elite Force, in order to take clean screenshots or movies?

EF uses (IIRC) a deriviate of the Q3 engine, so ~+shift, bind [key] screenshot, and then press that key. It automatically removes the hud in the pic, which is saved in the game's directory.

But I could be wrong.

The HUD in Vice City can be removed in the Video options. At least for the PS2 version.
