The beauty of CSS design...

I found this site, and while it's not groundbreaking stuff, I thought I might share with those who are interested in web design:

http://www.csszengarden.com/

Basically, it shows how you can make extremely bland pages with basically no graphics or formatting, and have a CSS style sheet handle *everything*, effectively creating skins.

I'm not sure if that's the way forum themes are created, for instance, but it should be close enough.

There are about 50 (copyrighted) themes that you can apply to the template document (you'll probably be able to figure out how to view each CSS source)

You know what's worse? Opera 7.20 seems to have the same damned problem. Can't anybody get these things right? Am I finally forced into Firebird?

Well you can use k-meleon instead of firebird on Windows- still mozilla based, but without XUL interface. On linux, you have skipstone and galeon- the latter is slim in name only.

I use firebird though, since I hate minimalism, and I like my current theme, bluemonkey.

I'm on IE and I honestly can't see anything wrong with the way that page is displayed. :? Damn that's a pretty site though.

Click on one of the links under "select a design", and you see the theme change but not the content.

All of these are supposed to work with Exploder, because they turn away submissions that don't...

The basic requirement is that they render properly under Exploder and Mozilla (in fact there's a couple sheets that do some "fix" to the style sheet to fool IE)
