Apparently HL2's publisher, Vivendi Universal, is in financial straits
and has sold most of their assets, but not games, to General Electric.

This reminds me of the original HL's strange oddysey, which meant it
almost never made it to us gamers, because Sierra kept getting sold and
resold

I saw Counter-Strike: Condition Zero at an not so legal site.

So there is hope for us yet. (CS-CZ is based on HL2 rite?)

I'm pretty sure that Condition Zero is suppose to be the last of the official Valve releases based on the original HL engine.

No, CZ is a HL1 product.

Damn shame HL2 got pushed back, I would have been highly amused seeing CZ come out after HL2 came out.

Damn, when I saw this, I thought it meant they released a game that was buggy as Hell...

Anyone remember Quest for Glory 4 and the infamous "Fatal Error 54" (or something very close to that)? :)
