I play more Fallout 2 then Diablo 2...and only if someone wants to have a party...I rarely play single because I already know the steps and hell can find the cheats.

I've always been a single player/LAN game and never ventured onto the Realms, though I may just to see how it goes.

I've been playing the 1.10s beta for about a month and a half and all I have to say is be prepared to have your ass kicked the first time you venture into Hell difficulty.

I had my level 76 barbarian (Lord Poe) about to face the ancients on Hell when I installed the patch. Now he can barely make it through the Blood Moor!!

The cow level is pointless now as they have reduced the XP/drops gained to virtually nil. Other run areas have also been changed to deter that as well as the drops of some of the Super Uniques (Mephisto ect) However, the synergies are a great addition so plan your character well!

I'm going to be developing a soceress by the name of LaPuta. Maybe I'll see some of you on Battle.net

Was 96 on the Pally ladder before the lag made me quit for the day.

Yeah, the lag is annoying, luckily I have an early out tomarrow and should be home before noon when there isn't so much lag. Right now my poison necro is lvl 12 and does about 50-60 poison damage a hit, in a few levels though it'll really start getting powerful with poison exsplosion synergies.

To improve gameplay, remove cheats/bugs, maintain player interest in the game/pique the interest of those like myself who may not have played in a long time, ect. It's rather nice to see a company maintaining a game that's been out for over three years.

I will never know what possessed me to play this game for so long, much less what drives people to still play it.

You might as well ask why people still play Nethack and Angband. I mean, hell, Nethack first came out in 1985...

I still play System Shock (1994), that doesn't mean it's patched.

Diablo was pretty fun, but it got old. Diablo II was old from the moment I began playing it- I just don't see the appeal anymore.
