I have a problem that has cropped up, and maybe some of the other SWG members might know. Lately when I click on my SWG icon and the launchpad starts up, i get an illegal operation error. Its with the launchpad.exe file. Any suggestions?

Mine is working fine. If it allows you to get as far as the full scan option, do that. That solves most startup-related problems. If that doesn't work, then you may need to reinstall Launchpad or all of SWG. If you have to do a full reinstall, make sure to backup any macro and config files you want to save. You're probably better off checking the SWG technical support forums though.

You might also want to boot up the BugTool and send off a report to SOE and LA just to make sure it isn't popping up with anyone else.

I thought about doing that bug tool thing I found. I emailed them the other day and haven't got a response. I posted the problem on the tech boards, and there has been no replies from anyone. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the game so many times this past month it's not even funny. At one point the installshield kept temp files and I had to manually delete them out so I could do it again.

Strange. But there seems to be someone *bumping* my thread on the SWG tech board. I wonder who that could be...? Heh.

n/m. I got it fixed. I was online with a techie earlier. I ended up deleting my .exe and then using the repair option on the cd. Now to find out if its going to crash while playing.
