I suppose the fact that the people involved regularly review games for a living never crossed your mind, did it? Oh well.
So is your entire PoV actaully based on the love of another game?
No, it's based on a plethora of games that I've played, of which Enter the Matrix didn't even rate as "enjoyable" as far as gameplay in my book. If you've never played another game in your life aside from Daikatana, I suppose you might think Enter the Matrix was a kickass game, but for the rest of us, sadly, it doesn't measure up.
The whole point is this being pure opionion...Personaly I liked the fighting and action alot.
Simple mind, simple pleasures, I guess. The fact still remains that when you look at what games are available, Enter the Matrix sucks.
All MMORPGs ship with bugs and problems, the successful ones fix them within the first few months and improve from there. When a dev house has a history of polished, good games behind them, you can imagine that any MMORPG venture they embark on will be quite good: Take Final Fantasy XI, for example.
Of course it might just suck instead...I pefer to wait on my final judgements until I've actaully played the game in question. [/quote]Again, sentence structure.
Yes, the game could suck, but with MMORPGs, most times the only way to try playing the game is to lay down ~$70 USD of your hard-earned cash on the line. This is why reviewers are helpful-if a game really and truly sucks, they can let you know before spending money on it even becomes an issue. Demos are great, I love them, but Demos for MMORPGs require a full fucking download of the game client along with needing my credit card to set up my "free" account. Useful, but a lot of work on my part to do.
If that were true nobody would of played Knights of the Old Republic....Hell they wouldn't have been trying to make SWs games since NINETENDO!
Funny, I don't recall any of the old Nintendo Star Wars games being BUG RIDDEN PIECES OF SHIT.
But then I doubt you've ever played them. They were hard, yes. They were not wonderful, but they did have their charm. I still enjoy popping in my old NES Empire Strikes Back Cart, just for the Land Speeder Level. In reality, they were not much different from the other games of their time. Let's also not forget that X-Wing, TIE Fighter, and Dark Forces were bastions of Star Wars "back in the day" as it were.
Now, I wonder, how many people who bought enter the Matrix bother replaying anything but the movies?
Opoinions stated as facts are always funny to me. I though it was fun to play...does that hurt you so much you have to insinurate me as having inferiorr taste in games? I love ego-centric minds, they are so easy to fuck with.
If you found enjoyment in it, fine, but the fact of the matter is that it was riddled with bugs, suffered from poor design, and was extremely unpolished. Forgive me if I do not see your cobbled together chair with uneven legs as a executive leather recliner.
When it comes down to game design, saying something was a cobbled together piece of shit is not an opinion stated as fact. Saying that the cobbled together piece of shit "kicks ass", however, is.
The fact that you love fucking with your own mind comes as no surprise. It helps explain why you like Enter the Matrix so much.
