I'm playing this 10 year old game, and it rocks, can't get to Atlantis yet, steering the sub is hard.
Has anyone else played this classic game?

I never played it. Did not have a PC 10 years ago. But, it is a Lucas Arts game right? Those where the days when Lucas Arts built great games.

Played it. Great game.
It's a Lucas game. Same type of interface as the Monkey Island Series and Day of the Tentacle.
As for the sub, I can't remember anything that difficult about steering it.
Which path did you pick?

I think I last played the game about five years ago, borrowed from a friend. IIRC I took the default (?) route, and I don't recall having any difficulty with the sub...

Have you tried Gamefaqs.com? I always had trouble with the sub part too. Great game though.

One of the best adventures ever. Although I never managed to play it as Indy (always got stuck in the archeological dig) or The Girl.

Bah, wusses!
I'll have you know I beat it on ALL THREE paths!

I know I played it through when it first came out, but I can hardly remeber anything of it now.

Fate of Atlantis was one of the last games I bought for my good old Amiga... *nostalgic sigh*

Taking the team path, and still on the sub. wondering how to get it to go into the dock.
favorite joke is a note on bulletin board
"Edward Turner; Phone home."

Did you rescue Sophia yet? Get the battery acid? Unlock all three controls for the sub?

Don't forget to use the acid to steal the stone inside the safe

Yeah, I got all three controls, I got the 3 stones and the key which unlocked the wheel, and had Sophia knock out the guard with the pail. But whenever I try to use the wheel, he says the rudder is locked.
btw, how stupid can this crew be if their told to just wait at one end of a sub for forever and an American accent gives you that command in ENGLISH.
Still a great game.

Great game. Do you have the one with the voice overs or the version you had to read text? The voice acting was brilliant.
I can't remember the sub sequence in particular. The sequence that does stand out in my mind is during the Seance. That's where you have to put on the mask, the sheet, and the flashlight and scare the bejesus out of some guy. There were some hilarious branches of that if you just go out with the mask, or just the sheet and the flashlight.
Also liked the part later in Atlantis where Indy deadpans "Certainly this is not the cup of the king of kings" while holding a nicked up stone goblet.

Uh... same game. It used to have voices, but when I emulate DOS on ME, it doesn't have the voices.

You have to go unstick the rudder

Use the magical "0" / "ins" numpad key on your keyboard to deliver a one-punch-knuckle-sandwich to your enemies. The only point where it won't work is in the labyrinth, where you have to fight that german fat guy, who's good at avoiding the "0" key punches. To get around him, think of the nearby, round boulder, and the beginning scene from Raiders of the Lost Ark.
And yes, I too have beaten it on all THREE paths, and did them with multiple variations on the "gods" part and the "sophia" part in Atlantis, at and near the endgame.

Yup, that's the guy I got stuck on since the sucker punch doesn't work on him.

Don't remember its been a long time since I played. send everyone to the bow and look over the rear torpedo room very carfully. I know you at least do that there. Ither that or you need to fix the controls
