Where can I find a good host for software created by me ? I have written many good programs but due to lack of a host I can not distribute them.

'Good' and 'free' unfortunately are mutually exclusive for web hosts.

By good I meant a relatively fast and reliable webservice. My files are only a few megabites so they would not take up much space. The free web hosts I tried are not very good. So unless I do find a good one I will have to contact my ISP about lending me their webspace.

Contact your ISP. Even for a few megabytes of storage, well, the free ones aren't very good.

i use sucky angelfire. It's got no bandwidth, but it's reasonably fast before your miniscule ammounts of bandwith are obliterated.

I always had good success with Topcities.com when I needed a free host.

www.250free.com is good, but you need a site with actual content, and the file size limit is ~2 MB.
250 MB space
250 MB monthly bandwidth

I currently use Freeyellow, but I don't recommend it at all. You only get 50MB of space, and they're very anal about the file extentions. They only allow images, html documents, ZIP files (no RAR), and text files. They also have a tendency to fuck with your account WITHOUT telling you beforehand and deleting data. Freeyellow is owned and run by Hypermart (which also sucks ass). They also don't allow directory browsing (which I found highly useful when uploading files and viewing them from campus when I forgot the filename).

I'm currently on fortunecities, which for some reason some people can't view
I have 25 megs of space, with 3 gigs of bandwidth per month. I haven't updated my webpage in months, and they still haven't considered shutting it down, so I can host pics on it all I want.
