You're not a twitch-shooter badass until...

...you have played
Crimsonland and done well at it.
The game went from freeware to shareware (no expiration shareware, thankfully), but it's still the hardest damn game I've ever played. Has ANYONE who's played it managed to last more than two minutes in Survival mode?
At that matter, has anyone else played it at all?

You sure you don't mean rush mode? Cause I lasted 3:55 the first time I played survival, although I did get a good mix of perks and weapons(flamethrower+ammo maniac+fastloader).

If I could play it a little bit longer, I'd consider buying it. That was way too short of a trial period. At least EV: Nova was willing to give me 30 days before I bought it.

I bought it. Worth every penny.

A little over 4 minutes on trial version. Once I got fire bullets, super reflexes, and speed all at the same time with my SMG... Pure ownage.
Very good fun

I'm used to the older freeware version of the game (came out years before. I still have the original installer if anyone wants).
Later on they yanked the freeware off their site, and came back a few years later with this newest version.
So, tell me, what exactly does the paid version have that you can get to with the demo (outside of unlimited play time)?

From what I recall it listing, it adds extra weapons, a bunch of perks, and all the other missions past the first act.
I really need to buy it, I think I'm already going into withdrawl. Perhaps I can convince my parents for an early Chrismas present, as I don't have much on my list.
Hot damn, it's like a snazzy and faster-paced version of Smash TV. Big money! Big prizes! I love it!

There are extra weapons, you get access to all the Quests (which are fun), the weapons behave differently in this version of Crimsonland, and there are more fun perks that can really add up to a barrel of fun.
Anarchistbunny: You mean as in online multiplay? God, that'd be sweet... but it's still pretty fun for just one person.

I acquired the full version after the demo expired...
Damn that game rocks.
Shotgun+fire bullets+2xweapon upgrades+uranium bullets+ammo maniac+fastloader+fastershooting+doctor+dodge+melee expert+unstoppable+hot blooded+survival mode = 7:54 of carnage.

As I remember, you can play multiplayer, but only with another person at the other end of your keyboard.

Just tried it, after unlocking a few weapons.
First time in survival mode:
Score: 58946
Time: 4:25
And there are a SHITLOAD of enemies that appear. Make sure to get the perk that makes bonuses appear more often. That way, when you get a mass-effect like Chainshot or Fireblast, oftentimes another one will appear.
And with over a hundred enemies onscreen, there are never enough of those.

Goddamn, this game was so addicting I had to buy it. Fuck, now I'm stuck halfway through act 3 of quest mode, I need more bonuses, I can't kill the bastards fast enough. So far my record is a bit over 3 minutes in Survival mode, and that's when I lucked out and got a ton of nukes. Normally I stuggle to make it past 2 minutes. I need more firepower...
