Another day, Another Mozilla Question.

I would like to know how exactly you set a certain filetype to be parsed and rendered as HTML in Mozilla.
I know it's Preferences>Navigator>Helper Apps, but all I need to know is how to set the MIME type of .mht files to be rendered as standard HTML...
EDIT: I just found out something: .MHT is a file extension for a proprietary MICROSOFT HTML format. Pfeh...

MHT is not HTML, it's some sort of archive format that includes embedded content such as images, as well as subdirectories and such.
IE does allow you to save complete websites in standard format, however, so you should be able to load up IE and have it work.

Konqueror can do something similar by tarballing the page and images, and automatically untarring it when viewing. Moz should implement this feature already, considering there's been a bounty out for years.

Already found that out. Course, I have IE firewalled off since it tried to connect to Hitbox.com, a well-known tracking-cookie site similar to Doubleclick...

EDIT: Mozilla saves webpages as .MHTs too...

IE was probably just hitting up an advertisement you stumbled upon, hence the cookie.

No cookies, I wouldn't let it connect. The .mht file in question was on my own hard drive, and apparently it had a web bug connecting to Hitbox embedded in it. Oh well, it rendered just fine in IE, so no problem...
