Computer font problem

My computer stopped working for awhile, but I uhh... kicked it, and it works now. Thing is, the font is different, much smaller and harder to read. It's only on certain things, like some websites and programs, but it's the exact same on all.

I'm running Win2k Pro on an old Dell Pentium III (550 Mhz, IIRC). The operating system is on a near-failing 5 gig HD, with all my important stuff on a 20 gig that is sitting vertically in the middle of my case, suspended by some wires. (it's a short tower, stupid Dell... only one fan (on the CPU), and barely any space for a floppy drive and one hard drive.)

Err, just one thing to add... it's the main system font, it seems. But for some reason only some things are affected.

Make sure that the font hasn't changed in your browser (it has a font setting under view) then right-click the desktop and select properties. Under Appearance there is a drop down menu for text size that should be set at normal.

Browser font normal, System font is set at default, which happens to be Tahoma, size 8. Still some windows are screwy. Main font problems are on Glitchbot (Koji's forum), ePrompter (multi-account email checker thingy...), and AIM (Aol Instant Messanger--if you don't know THAT, then... uhh, yeah.)

EDIT: I'll take some screenshots later, maybe.
