I'm on Atlantean

Got a few charaters, used to be heavly involved, have all the boosters, had a ton of uber rare crap from way back when
(When the credits ran like rain in Death Valley, and five minutes and sixteen seconds was the AO record for succesfuly staying connected to the server

Give a /tell to Telmus my main twinking friend, though I'm not sure how well my current connect will hold up in AO so I might be good for physical twinking only, not massive speed leveling VIA healing you for 3x you total heath while large things that normaly get you in a bite or three are instead laid to rest via the Board with a Nail Through it takes care of them(Also provided by me)

I'll head online now see how I hold up(IMHO all my chars are Clan keep that in mind for twinking services

Oh. My. God.

So I'm playing AO last night, just getting familiar with the game layout, right? I had just killed a MOB when this guy just *POOF* appears in front of me. I was thinking "Well, shit, What did I Do to attract the attention of a GM?!" I quickly went over in my head everything I had done that day. Did I KS someone? Not that I knew of...Did I curse someone out?! Nope...

"Hello, Chardock I am (Name here). I see you are new to Anarchy online, and on behalf of the advisors of Rubi-Ka, please allow me to welcome you! It is my job to welcome you, and answer any questions you may have."

this was met with disbelief, as this has never happened before.

"Is this a joke?"

"errm...No..."

"Are you real?"

"Yep..."

"Oh, well, This game is very complicated, never have I seen such an involved character devlopment method. We could be here all night if I asked all the questions I have...I'll just EQ it and slog through it, so You can get to the more important and pressing issues I'm sure you have to deal with."

"Are you sure?"

"Well, I suppose I could mention that you have a starfleet emblem on your suit there."

"Umm...no, it's an A."

*Me thinking* Yeaaah, so is the starfleet emblem, his A was even Lopsided like the starfleet thingy.

"Yeah, but you can relay this to your superiors, that I am very impressed with this gesture of welcoming...I've played many, many MMORPGs, and never has this happened before."

"I certainly will, well, if you just want to figure tyhings out for yourself, Might I suggest the forums at www.Anarchyonline.com, also, you may want to check out www.anarchyarcanum.com , which is a good site, though not official."

*Insert obilgatory pleasantries and goodbyes here*

That's just damn good customer service right there. I thought I would share that, and mention that they now have a loyal AO customer just because of that small hello. Kudos to The staff at Funcom.

Oh, Mr. Bean, I went Jobe, BTW. I'll see you on PvP!!! LMAO

Yep the greeters acutal were slated to be in for day one, but budget cutbacks elmintede the help staff that was supposed to do the job

Things looked tight for awhile, they had to fire quite a few GMs then some brillant yokel got the idea of going to the community, starting the Ark and Restarting the Greeter Program

Most of the Greeaters you see and all of the ARKs you'll run across are players opting to spend a few hours each week "on call" for other players, in exchange for various benfits(But only if you get a good solid track record of voltership and few if any complants about you time Arking or Greeting)

A few ARKs have even become GM's though thats rare nowadays( And normaly only happend to people with at least a year's worth experance ARKing)
