The developers can countinue development if they get their hands on the rights. Someone needs to assassinate all of Interplay.

Would the rights to the Freespace series revert to the developers if that happened? Screw Fallout, I want Freespace 3, dammit!

I'm not sure if rights revert to the developers if the entire corporate structure of the owner is annihilated. I'd like to see it tried out in court though, that's how much I hate Interplay.

Rights might be considered an asset, therefore it might go to creditors, or shareholders.

If someone doesn't pick this one up sometime soon, I'm going to be very dissapointed. For it to look that good and to be cancelled is just unacceptable of Interplay.

So which codename was it being made under, Jefferson or Van Buren?

Which is what happened to the rights to System Shock.

Much as Irrational would like to make another one, the rights are spread out all over bollock, so it'll probably never happen

This sucks because it looked so cool(3D Fallout) and now, nope...won't happen.

I don't know which one I'd rather have, Freespace 3 or Fallout 3. One thing is sure: the bastards at Interplay should pay for their atrocities against the world of gamers.

Judging by those screenies, it would seem that the development of FO3 was in very early stage. Still . . . damn!

There is a Falloutstyle game in the development. This one might be good.
