Well I have a Dell notebook (have been using it as a desktop replacement for 18 months now), and my CDRW/DVD combo drive just stopped working!

Now here is the question, is it worth it to upgrade to DVD burner?

Only if you have massive amounts of acquired files.

Well, 4.7GB/disc is always nice, but IIRC, DVD burners for laptops are rather expensive ...
