Negative, gg is Good Game. Often used in a sarcastic sense outside of a game, like "gg u fuking newb. God ur stupid."
ja probably means "Just Away" or "Just Arrived". It would depend on context.

Just for clarification, after a match, gg almost always means "Good Game" in a good context, just so we're clear on that.

Thanks for pointing that out. I often play with lots of German gamers and have seen them use this term.

For Fuck's Sake.
Some other more obscure ones I've seen in use:
cc = click click, meaning yes or understood. Originated in Air Warrior series.
aff = affirmative, originated in BTech games
neg = negative, originated in BTech games
kthxbi = okay, thanks, bye. More idjit shorthand than an acronym, but still confusing.
gl = good luck, used before a match to wish everyone well.
hf = have fun, same usage as above, often used together

AKAIK those terms originated within the BattleTech universe itself, specifically the Clans, e.g., "The Star Captain is on the frontlines, quiaff?" "Aff, Star Commander". I never thought they would spread to the online games...
