You can sign up now to receive trial software for Windows Server 2003, Enterprise Edition, for 64-Bit Extended Systems via CD or download. Read about the Customer Preview Program (CPP) and the different options for obtaining the pre-release software, and then use the links on the right to register to order the CD Kit or download product files. Note that in either case, the pre-release software is time limited and will expire in 360 days.

Wait...this isn't one of those "must be MSDN member to qualify" things, is it? Because I dont' want to shell out a few thousand (or however much it is nowadays) to be part of "the club".

No, you register like you would for any beta testing purposes. Be sure to read everything when registering.

Looks nice but don't bother to download if you don't have a 64bit AMD Opteron processor.
And a hint if you don't know then you have a 32bit processor.

As MSDN subscriber you get a lot of privilages. Microsoft makes incredible amounts of stuff available to the subscribers. A lot of the stuff is irrelevant though. For example as a C++ programmer I have no need for XML tuturials or Visual Basic.NET samples.

An uncle of mine has the MSDN Universal subscription courtesy of Lucent. He once let me browse it...there's everything on there. I've seen disk images for MS-DOS laying around, and ISOs for the Enterprise editions of their server products.
