is there some piece of equipment that can provide sufficiant protection from 1 shot kill attacks (like the wolves bite) that can be purchased so My dark gunner's can duplicate it?

btw how do I get use the gun mage abilities?

well.. first you have to learn them...

Seriously, tho... I don't know if there's a 'Lore' that allows you to use them without wearing the dresssphere.

I have the dressphere, I have lost 3/4 of each character's HP, to the damn plants. I still can't learn seed cannon,

Thanks for the Help Nitram & Tevar, found out what I have been doing wrong, you only learn the skills the First time you get attacked with the special attack, so if you got hit with it before you get the gunmage dress out it's no good.

so you have to start at the begining and hope you get oversouled critters to get all the special attacks.

Also the Angel Earings should enable me to discover the wolf bite attack.

After I finish this one, I might see if they'll let me take my characters to another New Game Plus, so I can max out all the GunMage, Samuri, and Mascot abilities
