Oh well, guess Mike nixed the Search function, and I know I've seen what I'm looking for posted in the past, so....
Bought the game, Homeworld (Version 1.0) for ten bucks at a gaming store, played and won it (with the appropriate cheats and edits), and so now I'm looking for functional modifications that would allow me to turn my ships into SW Imperial ships (ISD, TIE fighters, etc.), so who's got a good link?

The Star Wars mod for Homeworld, Version 8 in progress, our very own Howedar is on the team, and they're doing some fine work with a demo coming up at some point soon, but the Version 7 is up for download and is still pretty damn good.

I was disappointed by the armada ST vs SW Mod. Is the homeworld mod any good ?

It is very good, although I get more fun out of the Trek mod for some reason, though I think that's a personal preference as both mods are very high calibre and representative of the massive amount of energy thats gone into both, for an experience, the Wars mod is very good, theres a music patch, all the right sounds, the massive fleets are there, you can push your graphics card to the limits to get massive fleets. Sadly, the computer doesnt know what to do with them, so you're best with online gaming for a good match.

SOA
is rather more developed (I work on that one too
)
SWNR will release a demo of V8 with probably a dozen or two ships, but I doubt there will ever be a full version for HW1. The game engine is simply out of expansion room. That said, both the STHW and SWHW groups are becoming very interested in HW2 for its modability. Expect to see some sweet stuff coming out of that in the coming months.
