Look at the pretty dress my url is in As seen in the i'm pissed thread i'm now in the market for a new optical drive for my computer. I've more or less convinced my mom to shill out the dough for it (it's the family computer that this sucker is going into) and was wondering if 58 USD is a reasonable price to pay for a 52/24/52/16 CD-R/RW/DVD rom drive with Nero Burning ROM, InCD and PowerDVD?

I need to get a new DVD drive too. Currently I have HP 9100 CD RW which is not particularly reliable. Any recommendations for a good DVD drive (does not need CD/DVD writting//rewritting capability since I already have the 9100) for $100 ?

Just go to Newegg and get a cheap DVD-ROM.

Well, you could replace the CD-RW with something that is actually reliable....and here is a good DVD-ROM. :)
