I just wish they'd release the bloody game! But this seems a good idea.

*ahem* Black and White was *not* crap. and DX2 got a nod for game of they year (Of course, maybe simply because of name recognition, i've not played it.) See Gamespy.com...

Daikatana was shit because the pod people got to Romero and killed any respect he once had. Black & White is a specialist game that not everyone will get to grips with hence the love/hate relationship. Molyneux is still a respected figure in gaming, unlike Romero who has a bounty on his head for crimes against humanity.

DX2 got Game of the Year nod...and while not DX1 was hardly even a comparison to Dai Katana, which was utter shit.

So far I want them just to release HL2...but I can understand why they are after the little bastards.

That's almost FUQable, Admiral! LOL. But I completely agree about Molyneux, I'm absolutely DROOLING over his game Fable, which looks to eclipse even the juggernaut Morrowind

Wasn;t Daiktana an average game, but was heavly criticised because Romero had hyped it up to the extreme and said something like he'd make all the gamers his bitches ?

And from the link:
"The first release won several awards for its intelligent characters, plot and challenging puzzles. "

Black and White wasn't the game that people expected and thus many panned it, but it was still great.

Dai Katana was just damn average.

Deus Ex 2 is a foul abomination that pisses all over its glorious predecessor. Not because its a bad game, but because its so horribly average. Not to mention poorly coded.

Have you played Half-Life? Some of those puzzles were pretty damn challenging. I remember one where a room started falling apart and you had to find a way out of it... pissed me off.

I've been playing it recently and the only trouble i've had is the step up in enemy difficulty from average to hard.

For the room falling apart i assume you mean the "garage-area" at the start of "Forget about Freeman" where the ceiling falls in. Piss easy, go down into the road bit and as soon as the first block falls jump on top of it and crawl though the door! The only trouble i had with the puzzles were the friggin annoying jump puzzles at the end!

I always try to get the G-Man when you see the lift fall down a shaft with a scientist (forget which chapter) and the guy is standing at the door, correcting his tie. Can't break the glass, but it always reminds me of that part in TWINE with Bond going after Renard.

In HL: Opposing Force I manage to score a hit on him with the sniper rifle before he could get away. I blasted him right in the head, it was cool. I also hit Gordon before he jumped into the portal, but I only hit him in the shoulder.

Daikatana was far below average, looking and playing like a really bad game released several years earlier.

Hmm. Might have to try that someday...

I know if you try and follow Gordon through the portal, you end the game with a message saying you "attempted to create a temporal paradox" or something like that.

Hint: the same ceiling block doesn't fall down twice.
