Today, I received a little annoying spam E-mail on an old address which I now never use from some place called DHS-Club. Those bastards somehow figured out who the fuck I am, and I even apparent have some kind of membership number on me.

How did they figure out who I am? Actually, the former may not be too hard, considering I like to use my real name in boards and stuff. If they got no more than my name from my ASVS membership I should still be fine (relatively,) though my mom, who now uses that E-mail address exclusively, is worried.

I'm more interested in how did I sign up and get a membership number for something I never got? I don't even know about the EXISTENCE of that crummy club until today!

I get the feeling you haven't signed up, and its just spam, in the same way as "You've won _________" is.

Maybe they used an information bot that extracts personal information from various webpages.
