I'm having trouble downloading *.exe and *.zip files (and the like) from MSIE and AOL... But I'm having no problem doing so with Opera.
What do I do to fix this?

Perhaps explaining what the problem is?

It's probably your file associations. No idea how to fix it though, since I can't find Preferences on the menu. Using *right-click, save as* might work as a quick-fix.

It wants to save the file as a *.html file. -sighs-

Check your security settings.

They're the same as they were before, AFAIK.
Also, what do I do to keep IE and AOL from saving images as *.bmp?

You can't download them? So you click one and it says "Sorry no."? It crashes? It tries to open from location instead?

I believe that has to do with packed Internet cache, I *think*. Try dumping it and then saving an image.

It just goes to a blank white page.

Does it do the same if you right click and choose save as?
Open a folder, my computer, anything. Tools - Folder Options - File Types (tab) and scroll down selecting EXE type. Click Advance button, it should have another list, click Open and make sure "Confirm open after download" is ticked/checked. Do the same for ZIP files. If they weren't, and now they are, try downloading.

Well, ZIP was checked as stated, and EXE is not even ON the list..
