Diablo 2 mod idea

I got a great idea for a Diablo 2 mod on my way to school. It would be called Angelico, and be the exact opposite of the game. Instead going through the different levels of Hell, you would progress through Heaven. Instead of fighting skeletons and demons, you would fight angels and cherubs. Instead of drinking blood, you would drink holy water. And at the end, you would fight God.
What do you all think about it?

In Diablo 2 you are an agent of good. To use the mode you suggest would mean to be an agent of evil. And evil does not mix with holy water

You don't drink blood dude, it's a POTION.

Nope. Not buying it. Besides, God's God. He'd just smite you good and get it over with.

How about a SW mod? You can have lightsabres, blasters, grenades - the monsters can be stormtroopers and alien monstrosities, and at the end you face Sith and Dark Jedi.
Ok, so it's a bit of a genre clash, but just think about it.

I think both sound dumb, especially the second one.

The SW mod idea seems ridiculas but the heaven mod might work.

Aww... no-one likes my idea? Thank god I'm not a programmer then.

A diabolo SW mod would be like a 2d version of SW Galaxies. So it is pointless.

You're sure? There are an awful lot of satanism things in that game, like the upside-down pentagon in the menu, and drinking blood just seems like a natural extension of it. It sure looks like blood, anyway.

Unless you are a Necromancer or Barbarian.

It's a potion of mixed herbs.
Heck Diablo 1 has a guy who asks and mumbles about needing herbs to make said stuff.
And assuming since Satanism is in the game, that this has to have you drink blood...given the context that you are on the side of angels is rather large leap.

Anyway, one fighting for a good cause. But this mod would suggest the opposite.

Actually the manual distictly indicates how they are both agents for the side of the Angels.

Pentagram...
I wouldn't consider the game to be Satanic, and I think Blizzard would be rather offended at that accusation.

Barbarians were preparing for centuries(IIRC) to protect Mount Arreat from the prime evils, and while necromancers are usually thought of as evil, D2 necros beliefs are in the balance of life and death, and are accually only called necromancers by others, they are priests. They accually never had the demon curruption problem that the normal mage clans did.

So what's the blue stuff, then? Or the purple stuff?

As long as you get to be the Saint of Killers.

I like your idea. THey should make a reverse mod. Playing the good guy is so cliche.

I think there are like pools or wells of blood that you could drink that restored your life.

Health shrines and wells? The wells were water and the health shrines sure weren't blood, whatever they were. I suspect the same stuff that's in the potions.

The real question is: Why did ordinary well water restore your health better (not to mention your mana as well) better than a magically-imbued potion of healing? Instantly, no less, instead of waiting for the globe to fill up.
The Angelico idea could be interesting if you got some really good ideas for classes.

Logic would tell us that it IS NOT ordinary well water.

Logic would tell us that it IS NOT ordinary well water.
However, logic also tells us that people can't throw fireballs and summon down the wrath of the heavens.
