How do you bypass BESS?

Hey,

A lot of the posting I do on this forum is while I am in a computer programming class at school, when the teacher isn't teaching(about 70% of the time).

The problem is that I often can't look at a lot of the links posted because of the damn BESS filter. I've already tried going into the Internet Options and changing the settings, but that doesn't effect BESS directly. I am in a network; any ideas on how to deactivate it temporarily? (Although if I need to destroy it to get rid of it, I am not shedding any tears)

gracias,

Bass

Also try www.peacefire.org

IMO, internet filtering should be done by the surfer himself, not some other organization or (ESPECIALLY!) the government. If you don't want to see something, just block it with mozilla or the HOSTS file. Don't depend on someone else, because everyone on the planet other than you has ulterior motives.

My school uses websense. I've heard (but not tried to do myself) that if the a computer has it's ethernet cable pulled and put back in it won't be subject to websense filters for about 15 minutes.

Oh and not only is this site not websensed but numerous gaming (gambling and just regular webgames) sites, spyware bait filled rat holes and porno sites are also un-websensed.

You could try using a proxy to relay your connection but that is no guaruntee that it'll work.
