Simple enough problem, anything that requires to be run Full-screen won't run because Windows pops up with a window claming its Windows installer, the tiny little bar jumps across in one to two seconds but it ALWAYS pops up when I open ANY program
Windows XP Proffesional latest update
Dell 8500 series Laptop is the computer in question
Annyoing as heck anyone have any ideas? Did not happen as of yesterday, only thing that was done during that time was some network services were installed(Off the XP Cd) and after this problem I de-installed everything I had done
Just about to roll it back anyone know whats happened?

Just curious what happens when you try to open a command line at full screen? It is just the executables that don't want to run at full screen?
Are you running on on external monitor or the laptop screen?

Does it still happen if you run in Safe Mode?

I ended up restoring my system to last wendsday, as far as I can tell it was a system app that was running when it should not be(Either the Winlog was logging everything instead of just alerts or I had some super-good spywhere that Adware did not catch and can look like MS Windows Instal screens)
Update
Due to problem going away I'll lock this topic(Sooner or later), thanks for the suggestions but opon undoing the restore my problem stayed away so as for what was causing this I'm going to lable it another warning sign of the impending gnomeish revolution's direct attack on my private files

Just curious, but when did this start, and what exactly did you do beforehand? (I know you "fixed" it, but it could easily resurface given how unrealible "System Restore" is.)

Read the first post, the only unusal actions preformed was installing all of Windows XP's network services

Something got left behind then, or it was looking for something that wasn't there.
