Persional Fan-verse smackdown!
Dark Hellion mentioned something once, about his fan-verse fighting mine. So i had a vission: why not everyone get tehir fan-verses together and have a huge, multi-verse smack down .
It'd be various 'classes'.
Class 1 is the equivilant of the Galactic Empire. Clas 2 is on par with Lensman or Culture. Class 3 is on par with Skylark. And finally, class 3, where it's rediculous god-races like the Xeelee.
If you want to participate, try to put up inform on these categories: industrial base, population, armor and shields, weapons, superweapons, drives and tactics.
After we get a goodly number, we can have one hell of a fanfic throwdown . Any takers?

Mass for vessels is bettween 200 tonnes and 2 billion tonnes. The largest battery in use is 100 150Gw weapons based on BB revenge, many large vessals have up to 100 batteries.

produces 100 1Mw shots before needing a powerpack change range 5Km
Light support weapon
produces 50 2Mw shots from a powerpack range 7Km
Heavy support weapon man portable
produces unlimited shots due to portable reactor range 10km 30 shots/m

Space tactics revolve around dogfights and bringing concentrated firepower to small numbers of targets. Sensors are quite good being able to detect targets for infantry at about 100kms range even with heavy jamming, shipboard sensors can scan a system in under a minute and identify targets even with haevy jamming. Range for shipboard sensors is about 3LY in any direction. FTL is extra-dimensional so blinds the ship (which doesnt matter since the ship can't be targetted).
Planet killers are based on every ship but seldom used. Due to cloning there is a distinct tendancy for the armed forces to co-ordinate action quickly but not use small units or individuals well.

Hmmm...well you used a lot of megawatts and stuff there, so i'll have to do exact estimates later (as i said in another post, i'm a retard with higher math), but it sounds like yorus would be in the Level-1. Correct me if i am wrong.
Oh, and something else. I was thinking this crap like Star Bleah...er Trek? No. God almighty in heaven no. Fanwanking is perfectly fine, have your feild day. But try to keep it at least Imperial level or up, with the godlike Xeelee being the uppermost available. Anything in between is fine and dandy. If all goes well, this could make a hell of a little game/fanfic.

Once you say whatever your civ can do, you cant go back and change it. If they were barely Empire level, they dont suddenly discover time-travel and become Time Lords.
Secondly, yes, no level 0. Because that would be boring. I want to make this the most absolutely throwdown, smackdown, galaxies exploding shit ever writen! Like...like sex: either come big or dont come.
Finally, if your civ can fight the Empire is what matters, not it's pure tech level. My civ lacks anti-gravity, so it ant got no repulsors. But, i'm prety confident they could take on the Empire. The classes arethere to make it easier to have like a welterweight champion, a heavyweight champion, and so on until you have a grand master big brawl to decide who is god and who is the Federation .
While it may seem like pidgeon holing, it's just my way of equalizing the odds of Empire level civs taking on other Imperials, as opposed to the Empire taking on the Xeelee who would ass rape them.

Set in 3046, the Galactic Republic (I thought of it before Episode I came out, and I refuse to change it because I'm stuborn) encompases about 65 percent of the galactic plain, with 10 percent belonging to various independent nations and 25 percent occupied by the Omadesh Imperium. The oldest species in the GR, the Kakarakans, have posessed interstellar travel for about ten thousand years.
FTL speed rates are regulated in steps. Civilian and shipping ranges fron 400K to one million C, while law enforcement and military ranges from 1.8 million to 2.3 million C. Some special ships can travel 3.1 million C, but they are very few in number and high ranking in assignment.
The main military force, the Galactic Republican Navy, numbers about 20 million capital ships, while the para-military independent law enforcement agency numbers about 10 million capital ships.
Performance-wise, the Galactic Republic is about five times more powerful than Star Trek's Federation and nearby powers around the Dominion War Era, but functionally more like Star Wars. Aesthetically, it is also more like Star Wars and some anime universes (such as Legend of the Galactic Heroes.)
There are more detales I haven't mentioned and others I need to flesh out and establish, but the primary fuction of it is so I can construct my own little universe and the societies within it.

You need a couple of classes below Class 1 there. You need a level for ST-level civilizations and possibly a level below that for the civilizations similar to the younger races of B5 and worse. Otherwise you'll run the very real risk of this degenerating into a uber-tech powergaming wank.

Ok...so i found this thing called Perry-Rhodan. Wow .
I think the Xeelee have just become someone's bitch. I base this on the fact that their main weapons are effectively teleporters with 4000gt warhead shells and black hole missiles that appear inside of your ship. Other than that i have little info. Anyone can add Perry-Rhodan, feel free.

Nope. Not good enough. The absolute maximum is the Xeelee, minimum is the Empire. That means as soon as someone comes in with a Xeelee-level power you're dead. Ever read Xeelee, i havnt, but someone paraphrased it or me...trust me, whoever wrote that shit is seriously creaming themselves. At any rate, someone else merely has to ask why they can kick every elses ass, you have to supply numbers, calcs, shit like that and you cant go past the high level Xeelee stuff cause it would be silly then. 18, I suggest you read up on the STGOD. If you would like a high-powered one, seek out someone with experience in moderating them, or at least playing them. This thread is degenerating into silliness, but it wasn't a very far fall. This sort of uberwanking is simply spam. High power STGODs are fine, but remember they are about story, not numbers. Now, I consider my universe rather wank, and something a Baxter fan would enjoy, as it is more tech than morality. A banks fan would probably hate it, but I still have story.
And your class system is rather flawed, like necronlord, many races in my universe are not classifieable as equivelent because they can beat certain classes in one thing, and not another. Some races would make the Xeelee jealous, others would think of the empire as a nice powerful trading partner, and I somehow manage to have balance and have unique personality, not just be another humans in the year 2525.
