For the STGODers

I'm an admin at an RPG board, and through a combination of Thirdfain's and Alyrium's requests and recent complaints that the STGODs are spam, I have set up forums on the board for those activities if anyone wants to use them instead. The board is here.

The board owner asked that the forums be hidden and a usergroup made so that they wouldn't clutter up everything else. Just put your location as SD.net when you sign up and I'll know to add you to the usergroup so you can get at the forums.

Feel free to join in our other RP activities as well if you're interested, though they're in a medieval fantasy setting rather than sci-fi. This board is a replacement for another one and our move isn't complete yet, so there currently aren't that many members, but it'll pick up. If you're interested, come on down.

I forget the name, but there was a thread about it. Stormbringer locked it. I think it was in OT. I'll go look. It was some new guy who thought that we should move them to Testing or some such.

Oops. I looked at the post count, not the join date. My mistake.

I agree with Stormbringer on this. What's been part of this Forum's description since day 1? STGODs.

Heck I believe that's easily the gaming aspect.

The computer aspect is just because it was pervading in off topic enough it could warrant it's own board.

Okay, but the main reason I did this was because I was asked to.

Maybe when phpBB 2.2 comes out we can make a subforum for STGODs. Also, STGODs have explicitly part of this forum; the only thing we do not permit are TGODs as those have a tendancy to become spammish very quickly.

Searching the archive board for threads about STGODs, it looks like about 12500 of this forums ~52000 posts are STGOD related (including the AD&D and the miscellaneous RPGs). That's a not inconsiderable portion...

No, but not a majority, either. A subforum when we get the capability would not be unwelcome, though.

Oh well. I set up a forum for TGODing too! Gnomes and Black Mages welcome! (You'll still have to join the usergroup to see that forum.)

Well, have fun. But the STGODs can stay where they are; this forum was created explicitly for them.

Understood.

So will there still be an STGOD/TGOD forum then? I kinda like the idea of a smaller forum, I can't give that much time to gaming, and yet I do enjoy doing it. It can get a little quick here (though *watches tumbleweeds go across STGOD3*) and the smaller forums would be a bit more personal.

Yes, its still there. I took that to mean that I don't need to plug, but I'm not taking the forums down.
