For those of you who play AVP2, if you do, what are your battle tactics/favorite race to use them with when you play?


I like playing the predator. I am not much for up and at 'em combat. I like to sneak around and use stealth and then overwhelming sledghammer approach from behind. I usually hide around in the middle of nowhere and ambush someone when they aren't looking. Usually, I will use nets/bomb/spear.

Sometimes, when I play against aliens, I like to stun my team mate with the plasma pistol, wait for the aliens to gore him to death, and then blow away the giant pile of aliens on top of him. It works pretty well IMO. THe aliens always go after the stunned person and not me.

I guess my basic philosophy is victory at all costs short of spawn killing. I hate those noobie tards who complain about spear and mines when they run around using uber sniper and mine whorring. They got some magical code of "game ethics" wherein they are able to use any weapon they want, no matter how spammy, but you get yelled at for not being "honourable." That is kinda stupid.

AVP2 tatics. That's easy.

Alien- Burst out of chests. eat head and rip humans apart
Predator- Just be a bad ass a kill everyone from far away
Human- Run like a little bitch

In multiplayer the thing to play is the alien runner (the one on all fours)
That class is dam fast compared to the other characters; very easy to get the advantage and first blow in on someone.

I rarely play as Alien, I don't mind human. I can get around ok, the big guns make it fun.

I used to like aliens, but they seem to suck vs any heavy weaponry. At the rate people spam these days, I gave up and joined the Ranks. But I spam in style

Runners=god. I pounce every chance I get. Once you get good at pouncing, the only chars that stand a chance are fucking SG lamers.

I go Predator, and what type of predator depends on what I'm facing. If it's mostly humans, I'll take a speargun for my main weapon; if there's just too many fricken' Aliens, I go with the shoulder cannon/plasmacaster combo and just fuckin spam plasma until I die. Yeah, I die a lot, but at least I take a lot of the fuckers down with me.

Mexican jumping marine/corp is where it's at.

One online game I did manage to face-hug some marine. Best cybersex I've ever had...

By the way, as a quick, spamminical injection here:

anyone who plays an alien on a server without lifecycle on is a fucking loser puss-meister. Lifecycle=super, uber, ultra, mega fun. Facehuggers are tha shiznit. Skittering here and there just in the corner of a marine's eye is freaking uber.

It might be fun, if the entire team is 8 face huggers and 4 marines,course thats when we all get flamers and burn your little bug asses.

You may not last long...but marine purge teams are hella fun....flamethrowers...

I was in a game yesterday, and some retarded person put a mod (you don't have choice to use) on a server to stop Spawn killing. Per se, this isn't bad, but it has a helluva lot of problems.

For starters, it benefits certain races over the others. Aliens, for example, can no longer stun, but humans and preds are not effected. As well, when peopl are spawn protected, they can run all the way up to you, and as soon as it wears off, kill you. All the while, you cannot fight back because they are invincible unders SK protection. Thats fucking lame.

Now..I could always go to another server, but they are ALL starting to put this shit on.

I think the idea of protection against SK isg etting way out of hand when they start to ruin the game over it.

I'm sorry but I disagree, I hate it when I've just been killed and some stupid noob who has the spawn spots staked out face hugs me as soon as I spawn....

It's not like a human spawns with a good weapon.(We get the knife for gods sake.)
