Ok guys, I just installed a Hercules sound card and my 5.1 surround sound kicks ass. I also had my new DVD burner put in. There's just one problem. It is a little choppy while playing. While the sound is near perfect, the frame rate seems to get a little bit lagged every couple of seconds. I am using "Power DVD" software. Anyone know what I can do to change this? I really don't know what to do.

Ok, I just tried playing DVD's using the Media Player and they work perfectly. It must be the Power DVD software. I guess I'll just use Power DVD for screen captures. Does anyone have any software recommendations for me other than WMP?

Define "a little choppy". Is hardware acceleration enabled/disabled in your setup under the video tab?

Nvidia's NvDVD is pretty nifty.

It sounds like you have a bunch of programs running, slowing down the frame rate.

I've run into the same trouble with Power DVD.
