Really long URL
If you want to get rid of the crummy Java Virtual Machinesupplied with just about every verision of Windows this is the tool for you.
But do consider this:
If you use the MSJVM Removal Tool, Microsoft will not be able to provide you with a copy of the MSJVM if you decide you want to reinstall the MSJVM later. Your only options for reinstallation of the MSJVM will be to establish a system restore point, install from a prior image that includes the MSJVM, reinstall a third party application that includes the MSJVM, or reinstall the applicable Windows Operating System from media. If you no longer have the media for a Windows Operating System that includes the MSJVM, you may not be able to get such media from Microsoft. If you use the MSJVM Removal Tool you agree that Microsoft has no obligation to provide you with the MSJVM.

In other words: "Go for it, asshole, but if you need it again (probably for a program WE created) don't come crying to us"

While the MS jave VM is not as good as the Sun one it works perfectly fine for me since I dont run a lot of Java software.

Personally i've found the MS version of Java to be better, though to be honest it's only used to enable certain chatrooms i go to once in a blue moon.

The Microsoft JVM is more efficient but not standards-compliant. It only runs Java programs up to 1.3.1, IIRC.

One problem is Sun's JVM doesnt do spaces in paths.
This makes any java based apps absolutely useless in a normal installation of windows. I've been burn on that before.

Are you sure about that? I've had no problems whatsoever using things like Posieden UML and saving into My Documents.

More like 1.1 or 1.2, since Swing isn't supported in MSJVM, and I think Swing is in 1.3.1.

I think the MS JVM is 1.1 unless they've updated it in the last year or two. It's really fucking old now. And it didn't even have complete 1.1 support.
