www.broken-llama.com/robotics - Scroll down to switch between the white and black styles, and say which one should be default

You might want to fix your URL dude. (hint: remove the - at the end)

btw, I vote for black. Its easier on the eyes.

Thanks... I just noticed the URL was wrong too... it's the robotics page people were supposed to look at. And yes Phong, I know need to get rid of that green bar with a replacement smaller image.

Better looking IMO

  Looks like I accidently nuked the white style anyway... oh well 5:0, Black wins. I'll fix it later.

I got an XML parsing error (couldn't copy it since it promptly redirected me) in Mozilla 1.6. Something about one of the <DIV> tags.

Yep, I was editiing... using XHTML with proper headers for most modern non-IE browsers, which causes it to break when there's a single syntax error.

Fixed(rewrote) the white style. Can anyone suggest a good color scheme?

I'll need to add the mod_rewrites for the style switcher and profiles once I get my own server set up, since Blitz is rather lazy when updating configuration and patching and whatnot.

Seems to work properly. However, with Mozilla I have to manually reload the page after clicking on the style link. I assume that's because the old stylesheet is stored in the cache.

Hm.. don't have that problem on Firefox, and I'm browsing with all pages running through Squid too... Also, it's merely switching the rel attribute in the <link> elements between "stylesheet" and "alternate stylesheet", so the URL for the active stylesheet should be completely different. This also means that you can go to the view menu and switch stylesheets (unless this has been removed in a previous version of Mozilla, and this won't be persistent since the cookie won't be set)

I find somehow disturbing those two green crosses at the bottom.

I just made all the divs transparent and the background hatchmarks fixed... it'll be slower, then again everyone here has a faster computer than I do. I'll have to make them fainter, since my display is rather dark though.

EDIT Got rid of hatchmarks alltogether... too slow, and my graphics setup is too messed up to determine the optimum brightness.

BTW with a pure CSS layout I change lots of things with the switcher. Any suggestions for layout (2 column, 3 column, etc)?

It loads just fine here. (Mozilla 1.6)
