Another day dawning on the newly formed Stargate Command. The latest of the new teams having just arrived to the base, and freshly settled into thier various rooms on the base. SG-4, the latest addition to the frontline teams of the SGC about to be brought together for the first time...

Staff Sergent Leah sips his cup of coffie and leans against the wall of the mess, wondering what teammates he's going to get.

Connar muttered to himself absently as he adjusted his Air force uniform infront of the mirror within his personal quarters on the base. A new day and another assignment had seen him with a promotion to Leutenant Colonel and brought onto a secret project. He had been briefed in detail about the workings of the star gate, and the threat that these...Goa'uld posed but he could not help but remain skeptical. A covert mission deep within a jungle of some distant country was one thing....an entire alien race and thousands of worlds just waiting to be explored was another..

He sighed and picked off the last of the stray bits of fluff on his immaculately clean uniform. How he hated offical uniform...it was so unruly and uncomfortable. He much preferred combat fatigues and the innate comfort provided by them. With a quick movement, he drew the officer's hat and fitted it neatly around his head.

Everything was set.

Connar looked around the bare room for a moment and shook his head, he had barely been given time to unpack his meager things brought on base for the time being. He needed to meet the rest of the team. Once more he gave himself a quick look over in the mirror and nodded, turning to move out of his quarters and head to the lift to make his way to level twenty-two to meet the others.

Dr. Allen set his computer up, guzzeling down Starbucks doubleshot after doubleshot. A pile of soda cans already stacked in an egyptian pyramid in his room. His room consisted of a large bookshelf with books on every subject(Literally), a bed, a stack opf cans, a stack of soda boxes, a TV and his wonderful shiny computer.

With these things, he would be happy... But he had a briefing to go to, so he bolted back a shot of god knows what caffinated beverage, and walked out the door..

As Connar walked in, Leah looked up to the door and walked over.

Leah's appearence stood in stark contrast to Connar's immaculate appearence. His uniform was rinkled and had notcible lint, his hair looked like it had been cut with a weedwhacker, and somthing about him suggest a "Yeah, and I care because......" attidue towards his appearence.

".......Connar from SG-4, right? I"m Leah, the team tech."

He corrected him lightly

"Leutenant Colonel Connar Archbryte...Although Sir will do." He grinned roguishly for a moment and surveyed the mess of technician before him, shaking his head lightly

"You must be Staff Sergant Leah, I assume?"

Dr. Allen walks into the room. He could only be described as a geek. He wore a unifirm that.. just didnt look right.. on.. him..

He had the od look that only people that have not slept in 6 years can have, a glint of almost inhuman intellect, masked by sleep deprivation.

His hands were shaking like leaves in the wind, partly due to an addiction to caffeine, and partly because he was nervous

"Hello. I am Benjamin Allen PhD I am well I have a PhD in Anthroplogy and a Bachelors in most of the physical sciences as well as archeology history engineering and linguistics. I am pleased to meet you all"

Leah quickly corrected himself.
"Yes sir. Sorrying for calling you Connar sir. And yeah, I'm Leah."

"I am also fluent in 13 languages"

He said this as if it was an afterthought, although an nervous geeky one.. He hadnt been around this many "jocks" since high school

"Hello. I am Benjamin Allen PhD I am well I have a PhD in Anthroplogy and a Bachelors in most of the physical sciences as well as archeology history engineering and linguistics. I am pleased to meet you all"

"Ah yes, the civvie we've been asked to babysit, an Arrogant civvie at that. I'm staff sergent Leah."

"And i'm fluent in 13 forms of not giving a......" *remembers that his command is 2ft away* "....er.....we get the idea."

He lifted off the hat to place deftly under his right arm, turning to nod to the doctor. Carefully he looked him over. The man looked as if he had not slept in a decade

"A pleasure Doctor and welcome to the team...both of you, I understand we are still lacking one?"

He extends a somewhat gangly hand

"Yeah, I think I saw her trying to figure out where to put his bed. I hope I can be of some use to you. I have of course taken the last week to become fluent in Goa' Uld and Jaffa"

He extends a somewhat gangly hand

"Eh."

Leah shakes his hand firmly.

"Yeah, I think I saw him trying to figure out where to put his bed. I hope I can be of some use to you. I have of course taken the last week to become fluent in Goa' Uld and Jaffa"

Connar allowed himself a small smile and shook his head

"She must still be unpacking her possesions...indeed, there is no rush for now...not until the General calls for us "

He lifted a brow

"Two weeks? that's impressive for anyone..."

Connar just stood and watched between them, not a clue what either of them were saying. He just shook his head and muttered to himself

"I'm not awake enough for this..."

He slipped off after a moment to seek out a pot of coffee and some mugs for the small group

'If you are going for coffee, bring the entire pot" he said in english

"Yes sir.."

Amusement in his voice as he slipped over to lift a tray from the canteen and move to liberate a pot of black coffee and some mugs for the group. He looked thoughtful for a moment before returning over to the nearby table to set the tray down upon, drawing out a seat

"No use standing for hours on end...parades are enough for that.."
