There is some saying in my country, one created by jew merchants:

"There's no sin in tricking a blind man with eyes"

Romania - and I must admit that saying sound a bit odd in English. It has more sense in Romanian.

It makes sense, don't worry. It's kinda cool too. I gotta remember that.

"It's not a sin to trick a blind man with eyes." Heh. :)

Well, as they say, a fool and his money are soon departed, and this is no exception, although it's especially hilarious.

with all the people that make huge bids for items of questionable believability on ebay, this does not surprise me.

"It gives me the same pleasure like at Christmas," says Georgiades. "When the money ran out, I went and got more. A hundred dollars at a time, (and) over time it added up."
What a fucktard.

This isn't nearly as bad as people who respond to those 'you've won! send $50' things. On the news yesterday some old people had consistently sent money to these things. Like, 20 individual instances each. And never worked it out. And then cried and complained because the evil men tricked them.

I laughed.

Nah, just someone who gets a little TOO much joy out of gift giving.

I should do something like that. Would solve quite a few financial problems :)

This I think is as bad as those people who play diablo and try to sell pixels on Ebay.

People pay hudredes of dollars for items in that stupid game, so that blizzard can screw them over anyway in some patch that nerfs their classes/weapons arbitrarily. Although, I think it is stupid to buy pixels anyway.

This reminds me of the Simpsons episode where Homer used the telemarketing machine to sell people "Happiness" by having them mail him 1 dollar.

I could log into daoc right now, make a plat and sell it for $3 american to a company that sells plat to people for $4 <shrug> if someone feels they are willing to pay for something like that, no skin off my nose.

Maybe I should start a company that sells Dihydrogen Monoxide at 10€ per 1dl bottle. Some marketing slogans:
  • Dihydrogen Monoxide is present in all vegetables and fruits.
Dihydrogen Monoxide a major component in all health food products.
Dihydrogen Monoxide is absolutely essential to all life on Earth.
Dihydrogen Monoxide is nature's best remedy for thirst.
Dihydrogen Monoxide is present in large quantaties in all foods eaten by the Giant tortoise (Testudo elephantopus), the longest living animal on Earth!
It is a pity that couldn't market Dihydrogen Monoxide as "Organic", that is among the most powerfull slogans when selling crap to stupid people.
