Gak, internet connection not allowing games

Every single time I try to log into any multiplayer game, I get dropped within seconds. My firewall's not interfering, as I take it down whenever I try to play.
Gamespy Aracde said it's because my external and internal IP adresses are different. I don't have a NAT device or anything of that nature. I did recently set up a little homelan, though. The trouble is I still have no idea how to fix it. Help? I want to be able to play City of Heroes, dammit.

Sounds like a router problem? maybe open the ports on the router?

Set up one comp as a net dmz.

You basically need a NAT box, which will translate your internal IP addresses to the external IP address. If you've got a spare computer and two PCI network cards, try
Freesco.

Erhm, how do I do any of this?
I think that Freesco thing is only for Linux.

*THWACK* Freesco is linux. You make a spare comp into a router. Freesco isn't an APP it's an operating system for a server/router box.
