Large corporations tend to be above the law, and use their financial clout to gain ever-increasing government benefits at the expense of the poor and unemployed.
The tiny, corrupt, pro-business government juggles the competing demands of Defence, Commerce, and Law & Order. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 22%. A powerhouse of a private sector is dominated by the Automobile Manufacturing industry.
Employers may fire workers without giving any reason, corporations are either above the law or corrupting it, marijuana is legal in the privacy of your own home, and the government extracts trade concessions from poor nations in exchange for humanitarian aid. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force. Battlecrabs's national animal is the Balrog, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the Doom-Mark.
